Meet Dewey!
We got Dewey when he was just 2 weeks old, his mom did not want the litter and the people taking care of the littler could not afford to feed 6 puppies. We got him to a vet right away and bottle fed him.
As soon as we brought him home we looked into training schools to make sure we set him up for success because a German Shepherd requires strong leadership, and a lifetime of training
We started with Let’s Go! when Dewey was 3 months old. He began in the puppy program, where he learned basic skills, and we learned how to train him correctly. Practicing at home really helped him grow into a more obedient pup.
As Dewey got older, he started barking at bikes, motorcycles, being very vocal, and pulling on his leash during walks. Walking him (or even taking him anywhere) became a challenge, I often had to run just to keep up! It was getting very frustrating, and emotionally draining. Enrolling him in their Day Train Academy was a total game changer.
With consistency, patience, fun, Dewey learned to focus on us, walk nicely without pulling, and stay calm around bikes, motorcycles, and people. He’s still vocal, but we’ve learned to manage it.
What we love most about training with Let’s Go! is that they’ve taught us that it’s not just training Dewey it’s a relationship. We train together, which has strengthened our bond with him. Dewey has earned his STR, CGC, BCAT, FTN,FITB and FITS. Dewey has participated in parades with Let’s Go!, and continues to improve every day.
The Let’s Go! Dog Training staff are incredible, always ready to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer support. Working alongside other pups and their owners has been the best experience because they understand and we support each other.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience and the progress Dewey has made with Let’s Go Dog Training, this will be the best investment for yourself and your pup at a happy life together.

“I used to struggle to keep our dog under control in public—he would pull on the leash and even jump on people. Now, I can take him anywhere, even into stores, without a single worry about how he’ll behave. We constantly get compliments on how well-trained and calm he is!”
