We rescued Buffy in 2018 when she was around 2 years old. She was found running down the road by a rescue, who said she likely had pups somewhere that were never found. My wife chose her from an adoption event for her sad look, which turns out, was just her relaxed face! She was so muscular and buff, so we named her Buffy. After about 3 months, her true personality really shone through. She started playing games with me – any chance she got, she would bolt, making me chase her, and there was no getting her back. The only way to get her back was to trick her by opening the door to my truck so she thought she was going for a ride. I went to a different trainer first, but nothing changed. When I went to Let’s Go Dog Training, it made a world of difference. I can now do everything I wanted to do with her – all off leash! We are able to enjoy doing more things together, and both of our lives are better for it. She’s the sweetest, most tolerant dog, so I certified her as a therapy dog in 2021.
